“The Republicans— they’re more of the same. At least either one of us (motioning to her and Obama) are different. You can tell we’re different by just looking at us!” (Sen. Clinton at last night’s debate in California on the difference between the Democrats and the Republicans) I know we give the media a lot of grief for injecting race, gender and age into the...

Disappointed but the beat goes on..
I must admit that having my favorite candidate drop out of the race early after losing MY home state— was somewhat of a personal loss. I know this sounds enormously silly but I would compare it to the feeling of losing a basketball tournament (not a game, a tournament b/c a tournament is a series of games/steps to winning the ultimate prize) When I played in basketball tournaments, there...

That is the promise Sen. John McCain made during a most captivating victory speech after winning South Carolina’s First in the South primary. I have already cast my vote for Rudy (it’s no secret) but I must admit, I will be equally enthused to go to battle with McCain. And I hereby announce my prediction that The Mac (as he’s fondly called) will win the Republican nomination. And...

Let's not play cards in this election..
Ahh…. the race card. The gender card. The orientation card. The ethnicity card or wait, is that the race card too? Call me politically correct but let’s just refer to it as a sector of the overused, terribly exagerrated and sadly destructive race card! After a week in politics that will not be missed, Americans have got to be thinking: Are You Kidding Me? It all started when Sen....

The Magic of 08.. it's just beginning
Note to voters— this is no ordinary election. You can go ahead and toss out the textbook because this one’s going to be a doozie. So far, the political forecast for 2008 has been fundamentally wrong. As always, academics and pundits alike have brushed up on their history lessons and professed the “inevitable” candidate judging by elections past. However while they dwell on...

I found this interesting..
that Mitt Romney authored a book about how he ran the Salt Lake City Olympics and featured a positive comment by Rudy Giuliani on the back of the cover. Translation = Rudy’s endorsement of my book is important enough that I’d feature it on my book to sell more books meaning, Rudy is more popular than me!!   What does this tell you about Mitt’s candidacy..?

Why I'm glad Hillary won
You go girl. I can’t believe I’m saying this but in the spirit of American progressivism and democracy, tonight I am glad that Sen. Hillary Clinton won. Do I want her to be the next President of the United States? Absolutely not, I think Rudy & McCain are far more qualified. But her victory tonight symbolizes something greater… The media scrutiny unloaded an unfair amount of...

To "Hope" or not to hope?
Despite all the punditry, the youngest, most hope-oriented candidates pulled through their anticipated victories in the Hawkeye State last night. Obama and Huckabee are officially starting the race at the front of the pack and this whole scenario has left me scratching my head. I wonder, which is riskier to hope for— an Obama winning of the nomination to avoid any chance of a contrived,...
